On November 21, 2023,the job skills competition for crane handling machinery operators (forkliftdrivers) ended successfully! Forklift Job Skills Competition is a concentratedcompetition and display of drive’s skill level, which is interesting,ornamental, technical and practical.

Written test site
Through the fierce theoretical competition, 41 employees finally entered the next round,the practical examination. They passed the forklift theoretical examination andare from the Manufacturing Department I, the Production Department II, theProduction Technology Department, the Public Resources Assurance Department andthe Logistics Department.
02 Site of practical operation
This time, the judges of forklift position consisted of Jiang, the head of material group of the Production Technology Department, Shen, the forklift supervisor of the Public Resources Assurance Department, Tang, the logistics supervisor of the Public Resources Assurance Department and three members of the General Manager’s Office. The three main judges followed the performance of the players to score theoperation, and finally the members of the General Manager’s Office counted theaverage score of each player to calculate the final operation results, so as tobe fair and just.

The practical operation content of the forklift is to followthe stroke of the number 8 to go with water on pallets and follow the stroke of“I” to stack and move. The diagram is as follows:
Highlights of contestants
Thereare three steps to master the practical operation of forklift truck: the firstis tofollow the stroke of the number 8 to go with water on pallets, which examines thestability and operation specification of forklift truck driver. The second isto followthe stroke of “I” to stack and move, which aims to examine the accuracy of theforklift operator’s stacking skill, whether pressing the line or crossing theline. The last step is to drive the forklift to its original position. Thedriver is required to stop the forklift according to the relevant operatingprocedures and accurately park it in the original position. These three stepsare actually the daily work of forklift operators. Only reasonable operation specifications can ensure the assembly efficiency of goods.
Withthe close cooperation of all departments, the skill competition for forklifttruck drivers was successfully concluded. One first prize, three second prizes,six third prizes and several encouragement prizes were awarded. Forkliftworkers are an important part of the company’s production, transportation anddistribution. They need to be careful, prudent and standardized. Through this skillcompetition, the employees’ comprehensive awareness of driving skills,transportation safety and work efficiency has been improved, and our goal is to“develop the spirit of craftsmen and build a team of high-skilled workers of Kingdecor.”. Finally, Guo's colleague from the Production Technology Department wonthe first place in the forklift position with a theoretical 91.5 score and92.33 in practice!
